teri tasveer barsaat ke liye rakh li hain
apni aankhon ki hifazat ke liye rakh li hain
asal maksad to yahi tha ki mulaqaat kare
chaandni raat to shohrat ke liye rakh li hain
maine is ahad-e-tijaarat se bacha kar teri yaad
waqt bewaqt zarurat ke liye rakh li hain
jiske khulne se nazar aata hain daalan tera
humne vo khidki ibadat ke liye rakh li hain
taaki vahshat ke takaaje pe koi shak na kare
sar pe kuch dhool vajaahat ke liye rakh li hain
maine is saal ke dange se bacha kar juggi
maadar-e-hind ki ajmat ke liye rakh li hain
Har taraf
har taraf faila hai darr dekhiye
gour se aap apna shahar dekhiye
kaagaji fool har shaakh har daal par
is tarha hai hara har shahar dekhiye
bojh ek-saath ka khinchta kis tarah
rikshe waalon ki pahle umar dekhiye
khidkiyon se yu aauro ki aur jhaanko na ab
apne ghar mein zara jhaankkar dekhiye
khoon logon ka khud hi ubalne laga
aayega kab hawa mein asar dekhiye
